The concept
of the universe
next door—lectures the doctor
isn't misunderstood
so much—as
it is
too poor-
ly apprehended;
Meanwhile
on the other side
of the world—
a hungry child cries
quietly
while—
the whole host
of weightless
pagan angels
weeps—and wonders lamentably
why
there's seemingly—still
nowhere
down on earth
where they've dreamt
of engineering—
nectarine pie yet.
