G.I. TRACTATES

I.

For starters—its usually preferable
to be

on your knees 
only

to do
useful things—

scrubbing tile 
floors, 

working-
out a little more 

vector math, 
etc.


II. 

The second 
you begin to notice 

any kind 
of distress, remember—

pretty much,
every single

thing you can
think of—would also

work equally 
well—in reverse.

In the
end—it's never

the distemper
that does

you in.
You won't succumb

to an illness,
after all

this—but to
the enormous absolute

value—
of god-

convalescence.
