change
as oscillate—
adamant
but pain-
fully slowly,
as the tide
makes basalt shine,
as the moon
moves through its phases.
If only
any one
of you could
also bear
to move this slowly—
then, at last,
you'd be able to
see me,
comfort me,
sing
my intractable praises.
