From trees—
cheep-
ing birds
 
flap 
heralding bright 
full 
gusts of 
new autumnal 
wind—

the kind that 
rustle all their dusty
branches—displacing these 

tussled grass-
fulls—of embarrassed 
would-
be apple hopefuls that 
now look—

so 
pretty 
dis-
appointed.
